Sister Cities of Vandalia held a Burns Supper and National Tartan Day Celebration on Saturday, April 4, 2009. The evening began at 6:00 PM with a cocktail hour. The welcome address was by Harvey Kimmel and the Selkirk Grace by Wayne Wright at 7:00. The Procession of the Haggis was by Larry Fortson and Bob Schaffner. The Address to the Haggis was made by Tom Lastoskie, and then all guest were invited to sample the Haggis and have a shot of Scotch. The Toast to the Lassies was by Daryl Brown and Lizz Kunz provided the Response to the Laddies. Entertainment for the evening consisted of Haggis Hurling and then music and dancing by Larry Fortson and Erin Petkus.
